Admission Process The best way to learn more about us is to call to arrange for a visit. We also encourage families interested in having their child enroll at FCCDS to contact the school for more information about the admissions process specific to the grade for which their child is applying. There are, however, several admissions procedures common to all grades. In general, in order for us to determine whether or not their child is a good match for FCCDS, parents must:       Submit an application for their child on a form supplied by FCCDS (no fee);       Submit a teacher reference from the child's previous school (if applicable) on a form supplied by FCCDS or downloaded from this website;       Come for a parent interview with the Head of School and a student-guided tour of the school;       Arrange for their child to visit class for a day;       Arrange for their child to be evaluated as we deem appropriate for the age and grade level (teacher observation for Pre-K and K, testing for Grades 1-5). In addition to our judgment regarding a child’s readiness to attend FCCDS, we require candidates for Pre-Kindergarten to have reached the age of four and candidates for Kindergarten the age of five by September 1.
