Every Thursday morning, students in first through fifth grade gather in the lovely chapel of Christ Church. During the service, the children hear stories, share ideas, and sing together. The fifth graders are the weekly chapel servers, a job that they take very seriously and handle with pride. They participate by lighting the candles, leading the Pledge of Allegiance, and reading a lesson. The time we spend together in the chapel connects us as a community and provides a forum to celebrate our shared values. Although the school remains non-sectarian in the classrooms, chapel is an important part of Country Day’s overall values and principles, helping to develop the moral compass of each of our students.
